Like you, we find it fascinating to consider how the working world will function in just a few short months, as vaccines become widely distributed and we can safely leave our homes.

When we were deciding how to best peer into the future, we realized that it is the worker, not the executive, who will ultimately determine how we work. The race for talent in the information economy has never been more intense — companies will need to cater to worker preferences to retain and attract the best people.

That’s why we partnered with Wakefield Research—a top market research firm—to survey 1,000 of today’s U.S. office workers to uncover the latest sentiments on returning to the workplace during and post-COVID-19. They dug into important and light topics alike, with questions ranging from what it will take for employees to feel comfortable attending in-person meetings to what people will wear when back in the office. This and more was unveiled in the just-released Eden Workplace Return to Office Survey

When reviewing the results, a few big themes become clear:

  • 85% of workers want to return to the office with some regularity
  • The biggest reason to come back: spend time with their peers in-person
  • Flexibility and trust is expected, with a movement towards the hybrid workplace

I hope these newly released statistics prove interesting and helpful to you. Our team at Eden Workplace is excited to help you continue to create a better place to work, for everyone.

Onwards & upwards,

Joe
